Weekly status from around 15 contributions
A weekly mail draft with embedded dashboard excerpts for three product lines — transparency without an extra meeting.
Figure: rund 15 Zuliefernde, deren Beiträge je Sicht in eine Mail verdichtet werden · measured 19 October 2026
Request: „Draft the weekly report.“
- Collect sources: mail and calendar of the last eight days, contributions from a shared notebook, progress dashboards, daily notes
- Read the figures from the dashboards and compare them with the previous week
- The draft continues last week's edition: per product line a traffic light, trend and half a sentence at the top, at most three changes below; details and commitment tracking as optional reading
- Veto round: the contributors see the consolidated version before it goes out
- The same pattern produces five topics a month for the leadership circle — insights, updates, outlook in the style of previous editions, as a draft in the mail client
On a large undertaking, an executive board wants to know every week where things stand; in any organisation the picture is compiled by hand from mails, notes, dashboards and conversations.
Framing, tone and approval; I send it myself. Confidential and personnel matters stay out.
The first edition was too detailed for its readers — since then only the status per line sits at the top; the contribution template took three attempts to become simple enough. For the monthly update the first draft was too long and offered meetings — the rules were tightened: shorter, fewer dates, no offers.
Any programme with several teams and an executive board as its audience — and any leader with a regular report upwards or sideways.
On a large undertaking, an executive board wants to know every week where things stand — honestly and at a glance. The AI collects mail, calendar, contributions from around 15 people and the figures from the dashboards, and continues last week's draft. After the first feedback only the status per line sits at the top: traffic light, trend, half a sentence; everything else is optional. Before sending, the contributors see the version and can object. The same pattern produces five topics a month for the leadership circle — as a draft in the mail client; only a human sends. Transparency without new meetings.
